In case of a major event, you must have basic provisions. These are almost always found at your home, so we recommend you organize and have them at an easy access place in case of emergency. You must prepare to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours:

  • Water: Consider 2 lts. Of water per person per day (include small bottles as these are easier to handle).
  • Food: canned, energy bars, and dehydrated food.
  • Manual can opener.
  • Flashlights and batteries.
  • Portable radio and additional batteries.
  • First Aid Kit.
  • Special Items: medicine and eye glasses. Consider children needs, handicapped and third age people.
  • Additional copies for car and home keys.
  • Cash.
  • A copy of your emergency plan.
  • Additional 2 lts. Of water per day.
  • Candles, lighters or matches.
  • One change of clothes and shoes per each family member.
  • Sleeping bag or thick blanket for each family member.
  • Personal hygiene articles.
  • Gel soap for hands.
  • Toilet paper.
  • Cookware (at least two pots).
  • Trash bags.
  • Purifying water tablets or tools.
  • Basic tools: hammer, gloves, screwdrivers, wrench, cutters, small knives.
  • Grill.
  • Weasel.

  • Nonperishable food.
  • Bottled water.
  • Blankets.
  • A change of clothes.
  • First aid kit (medicine).
  • A shovel.
  • Candles and matches.
  • Fire extinguisher.
  • Plastic bags.
  • Flashlights and batteries.
  • Tools and rubber hose.
  • Any additional medicine deemed necessary.
  • Premoistened towels.
  • Maps.
  • A copy of emergency plan and personal documents.
  • Light signs or signalers.
